A NON GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION
Art forms of India, its variety, finesse and excellence needs no
introduction. From the ancient period India has been a mecca for artisans and a
grail for art. This art received further impetus and recognition under the
patronage of rulers of the pre British era. Art and art forms of India has been
an indispensible part of the Indian heritage. But with the British hold of the
country, native talent started to suffer. Some of the finest art forms now face
the threat of extinction due to neglect and lack of proper opportunities.
Needless to say, it is very important
to make a mainstream effort to revive the lost culture of our country.
Words alone do not suffice for the
achievement of such a task; it calls for intense and concise action.
IIP concerns itself with the pursuit of reviving old art forms of India
and making it popular among the masses, it also has within its core activities
other projects and missions which needs addressing. The threat to our
environment is hardly a national concern alone; in fact it is something that
the world is trying to deal with. But the Foundation’s benefactor and key
person, Mr Rajesh Goyal believes- “before we concern ourselves with the
world universally, the inevitable and necessary changes should begin in our own
backyards!” Hence, with active programs like Swatch Bharat- the cleaning
mission under the direction of our esteemed Prime Minister, Namami Gange- the
bid to clean our holy river and other missions like growing more trees and
essential issues like World Toilet Summit are being undertaken by the Foundation
to make a difference in this country.
Another project close to the heart of Mr. Rajesh Goyal
has been the true emancipation of the girl child.
